Biography //

Born in the middle of 80’s in Athens, Greece. Originally came from Kavala and Chios, and since his childhood felt music was an extension of himself.

He started his career performing as a DJ in small bars & clubs in Kavala, where he moved for his studies in Informatics. At the same time he was invited to perform in venues all over Greece. In addition, his reputation as a house DJ was escalated when his mixtape “Tech Eden” got the 60th place at the well-known Beatport Mixes. Tolis Koutras was honored twice in a row (2011 & 2012) in the international house DJ competition “Movida Corona” finishing in the top-16 ranks. Furthermore, every week several radios and web-radios host his podcasts. Nonetheless, he always wins the crowds and their recognition in every dance event he makes an appearance as a DJ.

In spite of his studies in Informatics, he decided to invest in his passion and love for music. In 2012, he moved in Athens to study Electronic Music Production at SAE Athens.

He chooses to play only house music and its sub-genres, from progressive/electro house, tech, deep to indie dance and nu disco. By listening to and being influenced (early years of his life), by artists such as Michael Jackson, Prodigy, Faithless, Eric Prydz, Daft Punk, he decided to enter dynamically the music production industry, by trying to sound closer to artists like Hot Since 82, Maceo Plex, Solomun, Tube & Berger.

The sound that defines him is dark and underground, involving dynamic basslines that are synchronized harmonically with drum & percussive elements. His first studio production titled “Twisted Mind” is being distributed on EP by Plasteline Recordings (Germany).

His motto as an artist is being reflected ideally by the quote of the famous German philosopher Nietzsche:

"Without music, life would have been a mistake"
